Fabulous Family law firm located downtown Toronto is growing! The firm is looking to add a Family Law Clerk to their team. Hybrid work once the training period has lapsed.
The Role:
Prepare, draft and review legal documents.
Prepare affidavit of documents, pleadings, briefs and disclosure briefs.
Financial Statements.
Trial preparation.
Organize and maintain client files preparing files for court.
Communication with Clients and opposing counsel.
Transcription of letter, memos, and documents
Trial preparation.
Close files and submit to storage.
Reception coverage, schedule and update assigned Lawyer’s calendar.
General and administrative duties as required. Photocopying/filing/binding, etc.
Requirements:
Law Clerk Diploma – 3+years’ Family Law experience.
Solid Knowledge of the Family Law Rules and the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure including Filing Deadlines.
Word, Pc Law, Divorcemate, and Worldox.
Experience dealing with the courts and clients.
Excellent communication skills in English – written and verbal.
Team player, organized.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
