Litigation Law Clerk – Construction law – Downtown 2 days in office Permanent

Fabulous full service law firm located downtown Toronto is growing! The team is looking to add a Litigation Law clerk to work with Construction Law. The firm offers: competitive salary, full benefits including rrsp, hybrid work arrangement, and career growth opportunities. Pays up to 95K

Responsibilities:

• Review, organize, and code documents in our e-discovery program (Everlaw),perform initial privilege and relevancy review of those documents
• Organize and prepare legal documents including but not limited to applications, pleadings and various briefs
• Examine and outline transcripts of examinations and identifies undertakings and refusals
• Research, review and prepare charts, summaries of documentary evidence, argument for motion, bill of costs, affidavit of documents and motion materials
• Conduct title/off-title searches
• Draft various internal and external correspondence

Skills/ Experience: 

• 3 plus years  working in litigation and preferably with exposure to construction work in a law firm
• Law Clerk Diploma
• E-discovery, The Sedona Principles, and Rules of Civil Procedure
• Teraview, Caselines, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent oral and written skills in English
• Familiarity working within a DMS system is an asset
