Fantastic Labour & Employment law firm located near Yonge and Bloor is growing! The firm is looking to add a Billing Administrator. The role is in the office 5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and process client invoices
Edit and finalize pre-bills in collaboration with lawyers
Ensure all billable time and disbursements are properly captured and recorded
Monitor and manage trust accounts in accordance with regulatory requirements
Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Submit invoices for lawyer review and send them to the client
Track and follow up on outstanding accounts and support collections efforts
Maintain accurate client and matter billing information in the system
Collaborate with lawyers and administrative staff to improve billing processes and efficiency
Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
Post/match journal entries for the bank, visa and trust accounts on QuickBooks Online
Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting and collaborate with Firm’s accounting firm
Assist with other administrative duties including sending retainers and ID checks in Clio
Assist with plaintiff side settlement processing
Manage payroll and benefits for all employees
Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and settlement
Check mail, deposit cheques to bank, and other related banking responsibilities
Assist Partners with generating and analyzing reports to track firm growth and productivity
Requirements:
Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and/or billing, preferably in a law firm setting (3 years’ experience is ideal, but new grads who are tech saavy and quick to learn software may be considered)
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task
Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of Clio and QuickBooks Online
5 days in office
Experience in plaintiff side (and settlements) considered an asset
Package:
Salary 60K (commensurate with experience)
3 weeks’ vacation
