Candidates should be a 2025 call (at a minimum) and have 1 plus years’ experience practicing family law in ON and be a member in good standing with the ON Bar Association.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law cases dealing with complex property, income imputation, support, and custody/access issues
- Appear before Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice on conferences, motions and trials dealing with family law issues
- Draft pleadings, factums, briefs, affidavits, and other court materials for submissions in family law cases
- Negotiate favourable settlement by taking client-focused approach and strategic planning of each case
Required:
- Member in good standing with the Ontario Bar
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written in English
- Have 1 to 5 years’ of experience working with family law files in Ontario
