Family Law Clerk – Barrie 100% remote Permanent NEW

Wonderful family law firm located in Barrie is growing! The team is looking to add a law clerk. This role is 100% remote.

Candidates should have 5 plus years’ experience working with family law files from inception to completion in Ontario. This is a stellar team of lawyers! The firm offers: competitive salary, full benefits and many other perks.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting written correspondence and documents, such as Applications, Affidavits, Case/Settlement Conference Briefs, Separation Agreements, Parenting Plans, etc.,
• Prepare Financial Statement, NFPs and Orders from Endorsements. Y
• Scheduling , being a liaison with clients and opposing counsel,
• Other administrative tasks.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are also a must for dealing effectively with clients, lawyers, and professionals in the interests of our clients.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written in English.
• You possess solid knowledge of the Family Law Rules and the Rules of Civil Procedure, including filing deadlines.
• Experience with MS Office is a must and knowledge in the applications of PC Law and DivorceMate are also required.
