Family Law Legal Assistant – Downtown Toronto Permanent

Responsibilties

The Legal Assistant will be responsible for tasks such as

• Communication with clients and court personnel,
• Preparing and reviewing of correspondence,
• Electronic filing,
• Providing administrative assistance, and supporting lawyers in various legal tasks.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and assessment of priorities
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written in English
• Experience working in a legal setting as a Legal Assistant with Family Law litigation experience
• Knowledge of family law procedures and terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, DivorceMate, Adobe
• Paralegal certificate or diploma is an asset but not required
• We will consider individuals who may not have direct experience but have related and transferable experience
