Insurance Defence Legal Assistant – hybrid Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Prepare legal correspondence and legal documents such as: Notice of Change of Lawyers, Notice of Change, Affidavits, Motions, etc
• Maintaining a file list for lawyers
• Scheduling and maintaining lawyers calendars
• Prepare billings and pre bills
• Open and close files
• Other duties as required

What’s required:

• Graduate of a legal assistant or law clerk program
• Proficient with PC Law, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• 3 plus years’ experience working with Insurance Defence law files in a law firm setting
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal in English
• Excellent teamplayer who can function independently or as part of a team
