Fabulous full service law firm is growing! The firm is looking for a Trade-mark Legal Assistant to work for 1 busy professional.
Responsibilities
Prepare, amend and attend to electronic filings and prosecution of Canadian trade-mark applications and related reports.
Monitor deadlines, send reminders and assist with the preparation and filing of reports to clients and responses to deadlines.
Organize and prioritize work, initiate follow up as required.
Prepare routine correspondence, book appointments and travel arrangements, and maintain client contact information in database.
Work with trade-mark docketing software.
Handle routine administrative and general office duties,
Open and close files.
The ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment on a team is essential.
Requirements
5+ years of trade-mark experience.
Strong computer skills with excellent knowledge of standard software (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, DM).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (both verbal and written), including the ability to deal with clients and all levels of staff.
Strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, highly organized and proactive.
Knowledge of Inprotech docketing software would be preferred; familiarity with a docketing software in the trademark area is essential.
